Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since March of that year.
Victory also indicates he has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair exchanged break points in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He saved 4 initial opportunities in a close third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
